Over the last few years, many parents have sent their children to Elizabeth Moir School because of its reputation in nurturing mature, responsible and thoughtful individuals. The school is committed to educating all students in a warm, friendly atmosphere, an environment that teaches respect for other people and encourages all members of the community to embrace healthy values.

In the Junior School, schemes such as What Shall I Do? address a number of social, moral and health issues for the children to understand. For students in the Senior School, the Personal and Social Education sessions held during form periods emphasize moral issues and the consideration of others through discussions and role-plays based on feelings, personality and social interaction. It is through programmes such as these that Elizabeth Moir School also works hard to ensure that all areas of the community remain bully-free zones.

Each student, regardless of age, has a Form Teacher who does far more than take Registration in the morning! They are responsible for the welfare of all those students in his/her class and, consequently, meet regularly with subject teachers, the Director of Studies (for Senior School students) and the Head of School to discuss all matters concerning each student. Form Teachers are there to encourage individuals, to communicate reminders and to unite a class.

 If a student does not feel comfortable discussing an issue with his/her Form Teacher, the school has a trained counselor who is always available to offer support and advice.
