Elizabeth Moir School aims to produce responsible individuals, students who respect themselves as well as others. There are a number of school rules which students are expected to follow and measures employed for anyone breaking them. Students from Elizabeth Moir School are often praised by ‘outsiders’ for the way they conduct themselves on field trips or when representing the school in competitions, and the school is keen to maintain this healthy reputation.
From an early age at the Junior School, students are encouraged to take responsibility for various duties in their class. Every Monday, a form prefect is appointed from each class and he or she is expected to set a good example in all areas of school life. Owing to the small class sizes, each student has the opportunity to be a form prefect and to learn, first hand, the importance of good discipline.
In addition to the four House Captains, both schools have a number of Prefects and a Captain of School. School Prefects are expected to help keep discipline throughout the school while the Captain of School helps represent the school during public events. |
